The service

Nock provides pay-per-call MCP tools over Streamable HTTP at /mcp on nock.tools and www.nock.tools. Tools return structured JSON. There is no SLA yet: availability, latency, and third-party upstreams are best-effort.

Credits and Stripe

Paid tools cost the catalog price in prepaid credits. Buy credits with buy_credits (Stripe Checkout). Nock currently uses Stripe TEST mode only and refuses livemode secret keys. Test-mode Checkout does not charge real money. If live Stripe is enabled later, live cards would be charged for credit packs. Consumed credits are not refunded except where required by law. Empty-balance paid calls return structured payment_required (HTTP 402 semantics in the JSON) rather than silently running.

Acceptable use

Do not use Nock to probe private networks, localhost, RFC1918/link-local addresses, or hosts you are not allowed to query. Do not use Nock to send phishing or malware, harvest credentials, or bypass authentication. Do not flood the host or evade rate limits. Nock may reject invalid_input for private URLs without charging.

Coming soon tools

Catalog entries marked coming_soon (for example whois_history) are not live. They will not invent data. Some require a named env var we do not have.
